Each user can simultaneously talk and listen to all the others within the same group, completely hands free. In addition, an unlimited number of listen-only belt-packs can be added to the system, useful for personnel who only need to monitor conversation within the group.

The system operates primarily on the EU licence exempt UHF frequency of 869.525 MHz at a power of 200mW max. giving approximate coverage of 300-400m depending on the environment. The additional groups operate on EU licence exempt frequencies of 863.500MHz and 864.500MHz which are user selectable. The 10mW power at these frequencies gives an approximate coverage of 80-100m depending on the environment. All channels use encrypted digital transmission technology for secure communication.

On the rear there is a belt-clip and a specially designed battery compartment that houses a high capacity, long life re-chargeable battery giving an operational life of up to 16 hours continuous use between charges. The flexible antenna is located on the top surface; the base has a Fischer 102 Series socket for connecting a dedicated headset.

Major applications include theatre, conference, live performance and broadcast, although new applications are constantly emerging. Tecpro Wireless may require an operator licence in non EU countries. Regional or National regulations must be considered and appropriate licences obtained by the end user before specifying Tecpro Wireless.
